Viola C. Fuller

Viola Charles Fuller, 97, widow of Deacon Charles Fuller, departed this life on Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2011, in New York.

Born in Pinewood to the late Channie Boston Charles and Jackson Charles Sr., she was preceded in death by six brothers and three sisters, Daniel, Jackson Jr., Plenty, Henry, Peter, Julius, Sally, Rachael and Helen.

Though not blessed with children, as matriarch she leaves five generations of her family to cherish memories.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. today at Antioch AME Church, 8800 Camp MacBoykin Road, Pinewood, with the Rev. Dr. Serena King-Freeman, pastor, officiating.

Mrs. Fuller may be viewed from 9 a.m. to noon today at Palmer Memorial Chapel and from 2 p.m. until the hour of service at Antioch AME Church. Interment will follow at Antioch AME Church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at 9365 Missy Lane, Rimini.
