PATSY ANN OXENDINE FARMER

DALZELL — Patsy Ann Oxendine Farmer, 88, wife of Gary A. Farmer, died Sunday, Aug. 4, 2024, at NHC Healthcare – Sumter.

Born in Dalzell, she was the daughter of the late Jake Oxendine and Rebecca Benehaley Oxendine. She was a faithful member of Long Branch Baptist Church. Mrs. Farmer retired from BD. She enjoyed gardening and cooking, especially for Sunday dinners with her family.

Survivors in addition to her husband of 62 years include two daughters, Cynthia Ann “Cindy” Jennings (Roy) and Michelle Renee Stapler, both of Dalzell; four grandchildren, Justin Stapler, Ryan Stapler, Ashley Stapler and Zachary Jennings; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Jacob Oxendine and Wade Oxendine; and a son-in-law, Scott Stapler.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Long Branch Baptist Church officiated by the Rev. Stephen Sanderson and the Rev. Ryan Glosson. Burial will follow in the Long Branch Baptist Church cemetery.

The pallbearers will be Justin Stapler, Ryan Stapler, Roy Jennings, Mike Lessard, Joshua Oxendine and Jay Powell.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, at Long Branch Baptist Church and other times at the home.

The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of NHC Healthcare-Sumter, McLeod Palmetto Adult Medicine, the office of Dr. Warrick and Dr. Kellogg of Santee Oncology for the exceptional care they provided our mother through the years.
