ST. GEORGE — Casandra “Cissy” Curran Bilton, 78, of Sumter entered into eternal rest Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at her residence after an illness.

Cissy was born April 9, 1946, in St. George, South Carolina. She was the daughter of the late Richard Lawrence Curran and Katherine Kizer Curran. She was a graduate of St. George High School.

She worked many years as an office manager at Woody Bilton Ford in Moncks Corner. Cissy could often be found spending time with family, fishing, golfing, caring for her Jack Russell, Rosie, and whipping up Southern food in the kitchen.

She is survived by her two sons, James “Jamie” Woodrow (Tammy) Bilton III of Sumter and Richard Joseph “Joey” (Johna) Bilton of Moncks Corner. She is also survived by her grandchildren, James “Jake” (Megan) Bilton, Kiel (Gray) Bilton, Sarah Margaret Bilton, Joshua “Josh” Bilton and Jayden Bilton.

Surviving great-grandchildren include: Jacob, Madeline, Tucker, Faith, Jancy and Tradd. Cissy has a brother, Charles “Chuck” William (Dee) Curran of Rock Hill, a beloved aunt, Gladys Phalen of Summerville, many nieces and nephews and a longtime friend, Vickie Rentz.

A memorial service will be held at Mepkin Abbey in Moncks Corner on Saturday, Aug. 3, 2024, at 11 a.m., directed by Bryant Funeral Home and Russell Funeral Home, followed by a celebration of life at The Depot, Moncks Corner.
