A. LANAIR COKER

TURBEVILLE - A. Lanair Coker, 66, died on Thursday, Aug. 26, 2021, after an illness.

Lanair was born on Jan. 13, 1955, and raised in Turbeville, a son of the late Leslie A. and Nell F. Coker. He attended East Clarendon High School. Lanair worked at Wellman Inc. for many years and recently retired from 301 Auto Parts. Lanair enjoyed fishing, golf, gardening and spending time with his family.

Lanair is survived by his sons, Reed (Kaitlyn) Coker and Zachary (Katherine) Coker and their mother, Lucia Welsh Coker; a sister, Linda (Vinroe) Mims; a brother, Legrand (June) Coker; a niece, Shana (Terry) Welch; and a great-niece, Grey Welch.

He was preceded in death by his nephew, Greg Mims.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday at Pine Grove United Methodist Church in Turbeville.

The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service in the church sanctuary and other times at 1060 Mamie Kinney Lane, Turbeville, SC 29162.
