Tammie Denise McGee (aka Wasp), 53, residing in Charlotte, entered Heaven’s gate on Sunday, Sept. 1, 2024. Tammie was born Oct. 31, 1971, at Tuomey Hospital to Elouise J. McGee and the late Henry “Bubba” McGee Sr. She grew up in Dalzell and attended the public schools of Sumter County. She later moved to Charlotte, where she worked many years in the service industry.
Tammie leaves her cherished memories to her mother, Elouise Jenkins McGee; three children, Trezmin McGee, Latesha McGee (Mark) and Rondell (Elizabeth) Brunson; two sisters, Belinda Rush and Lakita McGee; four brothers, Henry McGee Jr., Joey McGee, Terrance McGee and Norman McGee; five grandchildren; goddaughter, Cyntasia Hudson; four aunts; six uncles; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at noon Saturday, Sept. 7, 2024, at Mt. Olive AME Church, 2738 Woodrow Road, Woodrow, with the Rev. Dr. R. L. Brown, pastor, officiating.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the home, 2870 Dock Road, Sumter.
Interment will follow in Colclough Cemetery, Dubose Siding Road, Sumter.
