Sumter coroner releases names of 2 men fatally shot at Broad Street hotel

Sumter County Coroner Robbie Baker released the names of two individuals who were fatally shot at Sleep Inn on Sunday morning.

Saquan Logan, 20, and Demari Spann, 19, both of Sumter, were pronounced dead on scene from apparent gunshot wounds, according to Baker.

Next of kin has been notified, and an autopsy will be performed on Monday at Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.

Sumter Police Department is working to identify suspects involved in the shooting, and a reward of up to $5,000 is available for information leading to an arrest.
