RONALD JAMES SAUNDERS

On Sunday, Sept. 8, 2024, Ronald James Saunders, "Pops", husband of Marjorie Fleming Saunders, passed away peacefully at Prisma Health Tuomey in Sumter.
Born on Tuesday, July 12, 1932, in Youngstown, Ohio, he was a son of the late Charles Avery and Lucinda Martin Saunders.
Services celebrating his life will take place on Sunday, Sept. 15, 2024, at 4 p.m. from the Historic Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church, 105 Dinkins St., Manning, where the Rev. Clarence Hilton, associate pastor, will preside. The Rev. Dr. Mitchell Adger, pastor of the Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Pawleys Island, will bring words of comfort. The service of committal will follow at a later date from the Saunders family plot located in the Glen Rest Memorial Estate Cemetery, 8029 E. Main St., Reynoldsburg, Ohio.
Public viewing will take place on Saturday, Sept. 14, 2024, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Fleming & DeLaine Chapel, 222 W. Boyce St., Manning.
