EFIGENIA CARPENTER

PAYSON, Arizona — Efigenia “Penny” Carpenter, 83, died Tuesday, July 30, 2024, in Payson, Arizona.
Born Aug. 2, 1940, in the Philippines, she was a daughter of the late Angel Presado y Rodriguez and Precintascion HONRUBIA y Coronado and the widow of the late Col. Duane Lincoln Carpenter (USAF) of Shaw Air Force Base, Sumter.

She was a member of St. Anne & St. Jude Roman Catholic Church.

Surviving in the USA are two stepdaughters, Sheri Lynn Carpenter Oyler (David) and Kathryn Carpenter Haught, all of Payson, Arizona; one son, Emil Picasso Gentolizo of South Carolina; two grandchildren from Emil Picasso Gentolizo, Mamie Michelle Gentolizo and Usher Lincoln Gentolizo; brothers Leon Presado and Eric Manuel Presado; and sisters Lita Presado and Felicitas Presado, located in the Philippines.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Michelle Diane Carpenter, and her husband, Col. Duane Lincoln Carpenter.

A prayer service will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23, 2024, at Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home.
A funeral mass will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, 2024, at St. Anne & St. Jude Roman Catholic Church.

Burial will follow the funeral mass in St. Lawrence Cemetery located next to her daughter, Michelle Diane Carpenter.
