Library holds board meeting on Nov. 15

MANNING - The Harvin Clarendon County Library will hold its monthly board meeting at 4:30 p.m. Nov. 15 at the Clarendon County Administration building, 411 Sunset Drive. The board will be given a financial report and a staffing update on vacancies at the library. Under new business, the board will consider the library's 2022 holiday closing schedule and be given a COVID-19 update.

Test site is at Clarendon Community Complex

MANNING - A free drive-through COVID-19 testing site is open from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Monday through Friday in the parking lot at the Clarendon Community Complex behind Weldon Auditorium.

The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control partnered with GENETWorx Laboratories to provide this free service to all Clarendon County as well as state residents, families and employees.

The drive-through service is quick and doesn't require the individual to exit the car to be tested. The results will be available within 48 hours and will be reported to individuals through their Aura account.

Manning's Parade of Lights on Nov. 28

MANNING - The City of Manning will present its Parade of Lights at 5:30 p.m. Nov. 28. Applications to participate are available at Manning City Hall, 29 W. Boyce St. Awards will be given for the Most Creative Entry, Best Christmas Float and Most Christmas Lights.

The deadline for entry is Nov. 19.

Church hosts blood drive in memory of Parson-Graham

MANNING - Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church, 105 Dinkins St., is hosting an American Red Cross Blood Drive from 1-6 p.m. Dec. 26.

The blood drive is being held in memory of Vernelle Parson-Graham, the sister of Gyndolyn Fleming of Manning. All donors will receive a free health screening before donating.
