TURBEVILLE – An autopsy of a Turbeville man who was found dead inside an abandoned mobile home on Mickey Street on April 28 revealed that the man “died from blunt-force trauma to the head,” according to Clarendon County Sheriff’s Office.

Earl Singletary was unresponsive and not breathing when CCSO deputies found him inside the abandoned home.

During the investigation into Singletary’s death, the CCSO found that Singletary was involved in an altercation on or about April 26. As the investigation continued, three suspects were identified, two juveniles and 24-year-old Qawiee Shabios Antanio Singletary.

On June 28, two of the suspects were taken into custody without incident; one juvenile was charged with murder, and Singletary was charged with obstruction of justice and assault-third degree. Through a Family Court Petition, charges are pending for the other juvenile.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call (803) 435-4414 and ask for the investigations division. Callers do not need to identify themselves.
