MARTHA JOAN TILLETT

Martha Joan Tillett, 78, died Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2024, at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital.Born in Green Bay, Wisconsin, she was a daughter of the late Charles Bennett and Martha McMurry Bennett.

Mrs. Tillett was of the Catholic faith.

Surviving are three daughters, Jody Raffield (Johnny) of Dalzell, Molly Geddings (Phillip) and Patsy Ardis, both of Sumter; a son, Buddy Ardis (Karen) of Sumter; a brother, Bobby Bennett of Maryland; four sisters, Gewn Bennett of Texas, Katie Goins of Sumter, Mary Soriano of Orangeburg and Heidi Oburg of Missouri; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her former husband, Jim Henry Ardis.

Services will be private.
