REMBERT — It is with great sympathy and sorrow that we announce the passing of Marjorie (Margie) Josephine Perkins on Saturday, Aug. 17, 2024, at the age of 81.

She is the widow of the late retired Senior Master Sgt. Bobby Perkins of the U.S. Air Force.

Marjorie was born on March 4, 1943, in St. Johns, Newfoundland, Canada, as the youngest daughter of 12 to the late Harold and Elizabeth Carew of Newfoundland, Canada.

She is preceded in death by her son, Kenneth Onofri.

She is survived by her daughters, Christine Bowen (John) and Karen Jagoda, both of Summerville; and her sister, Sheila (Mike). Marjorie was also known as "MiMi" to her grandchildren, Ashley (Randy), Meghan, Casey (Erika) and Kristen; great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews, as well as her special nephew and niece, Wayne and Marla, and niece, Judy; and longtime friends, Linda and Ricky.

Marjorie (Mimi) loved watching Hallmark movies and the news channels. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren when they would come to town. She will be missed by so many people who loved her.

The celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 25, 2024, at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home, 515 Miller Road, Sumter.
