Cirque du Soleil's 'Ovo' comes to Columbia

The artists behind Cirque du Soleil’s ‘Ovo’ rehearse on Thursday, Sept. 26, ahead of their weekend of shows at Colonial Life Arena in Columbia. OVO, an exciting and colorful Cirque du Soleil experience, is an intrusion into a colony of insects. Through show-stopping acrobatics highlighting the various personalities and abilities of insect species — from crickets bouncing off trampolines to a hypnotic spider contorting inside her web — OVO touches everyone’s imagination. OVO performances will be held at Colonial Life Arena, 801 Lincoln St., Columbia, on Saturday-Sunday, Sept. 28-29. Tickets are available at ticketmaster.com.
