Sumter Museum will present "Song of Our People" on Sunday, June 7, at 3 p.m. at its Temple Sinai Jewish History Center, 11 Church St., Sumter. This free concert invites the community to experience the richness and range of Jewish art music in a program that spans generations.
This event is part of Varna International's annual Muzika! Festival with performances across the state. The Sumter program will feature an accomplished ensemble of performers, including:
- Rachel Calloway, mezzo-soprano;
- Ari Streisfield, violin;

The performance will highlight a variety of chamber works that give voice to the experiences, traditions and resilience of Jewish communities throughout the 20th century. Through music, the concert seeks to honor cultural memory and celebrate the enduring power of artistic expression.
All are invited to attend. After the concert, guests are welcome to enjoy a reception with light refreshments and the opportunity to meet the performers.
