SUZANNE RISHER GIBSON

Suzanne Risher Gibson, 96, widow of James Robert Gibson Sr., died on Monday Nov. 2, 2026, at her home.

Born in Clio, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late David Rhett Risher and Mary Kate McLaurin.

Mrs. Gibson was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church for 50 years.

Surviving are two daughters, Mary Lee Mossor (Tony) and Suzanne Tweddle (Terry); four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and son, James Robert Gibson Jr.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8, 2026, at the Sumter Cemetery with Rev. Josie Holler officiating.

Family will receive friends following the graveside service.

Burial will follow in Sumter Cemetery.
