Sumter SPCA is Business Yard of the Month

Poinsett-Bland Garden Club, member of the Council of Garden Clubs of Sumter, has selected Sumter SPCA, 1140 S. Guignard Drive, Sumter, as the Business Yard of the Month for May. Visitors entering the front gate of the SPCA are immediately greeted by a pleasant and restful space. There is a water feature with a slightly cascading waterfall surrounded by river rock. Amid the stones are a colorful maple tree, shrubbery and grasses, sporting diverse colors and textures. Interest is also piqued through the use of yard ornaments that reflect the organization's purpose (the prevention of cruelty to animals). A feline-inspired bench and a birdbath flanked by canines are especially charming. It's easy to see the thoughtfulness in this outdoor landscape design.
