RICHARD OLIVER WEEKS SR.

Richard Oliver Weeks Sr., 75, husband of Lillie McDuffie Weeks and son of the late Lewis Weeks Sr. and Mary Ethel Witherspoon Weeks, was born on May 2, 1951, in Sumter. He departed this life on Monday, Oct. 5, 2026, at Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center, Charleston.

Public viewing will be held on Thursday, Oct. 8, 2026, from 2 to 6 p.m. at Job’s Mortuary Inc.

Funeral services will be held at noon Friday, Oct. 9, 2026, at Jehovah Missionary Baptist Church, 805 S. Harvin St., Sumter, with Pastor Ricky Simmons, officiating, and Minister Melissa Weeks Richardson, eulogist.

Interment will follow in Hillside Memorial Park, Sumter.

Family will be receiving friends at the home, 415 Vining St., Sumter, daily from 4 to 7 p.m.

Job’s Mortuary Inc., 312 S. Main St., is in charge of arrangements.
