Pedestrian fatally struck along Paxville Highway in Clarendon, SCHP says

South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal wreck that involved a pedestrian.
The wreck occurred at about 10 p.m. on Friday, June 26, on Paxville Highway, near the intersection of Raccoon Road.
A Ford F-150 was traveling west on Paxville Highway when it struck a pedestrian, who was walking north on the highway, according to Master Trooper William Bennett.
The pedestrian was taken by EMS to an area hospital where they later died from their injures.
An investigation is ongoing.
