Letter to the editor: Make way for the young folks

According to the latest polls, the seat of our 70-year-old Sen. Lindsey Graham seems to be at risk (finally!). Fresh data shows that Democratic nominee Dr. Annie Andrews is neck and neck with Graham, being only three points behind him. This result testifies that we, South Carolina citizens, are fed up with the bloodthirsty superannuated politician who has been playing war games with the whole world for too long, forgetting about real needs and problems of the population. We want our representative in the Senate to promote our domestic interests, especially social ones, rather than trying to reshape the world at the expense of the money we pay to our budget.

It's time to make way for the young folks, the politicians, who are close to the population and have first-hand knowledge of the problems Americans face every day. We want our money to be spent on increasing our living standards rather than wars that we have never voted for.
