Columbia woman dies in 2-vehicle wreck along U.S. 301 near Clarendon

South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a wreck that occurred on U.S. 301 on Sunday night.

According to Master Trooper Mitchell Ridgeway, the wreck occurred at 9 p.m. on March 22. 

The driver of a 2010 Honda CRV was traveling north on U.S. 301 at the same time the driver of 2016 Audi A3, later identified as Debra Delaine Frazier, 53, of Columbia, was traveling west on Salem Road, attempting to enter onto 301.

Frazier was struck by the Honda CRV on the driver’s side. She was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Clarendon County Coroner Jacqueline Blackwell said an autopsy is scheduled for this week. 

The driver of the Honda CRV was injured and transported to a local hospital, Ridgeway said.

An investigation is ongoing.
