Clarendon coroner names person in Saturday morning fatal as Summerton mayor

Clarendon County Coroner Jacqueline Blackwell has released the name of the individual killed in a motor vehicle wreck Saturday morning.
Tony Junious, 48, the mayor of Summerton, was killed in a wreck early Saturday, Jan. 27.
Junious has also served on Clarendon County School District boards.
Next of kin has been notified and an autopsy is scheduled for Monday, Jan. 29, at the Medical University of South Carolina.
An ongoing investigation is underway by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
