ALARIC JOE

Alaric Joe, son of the late Andrew Joe and Leola Hill Joe, was born Dec. 14, 1938, in New York, New York. He departed this earthly life on Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2026, at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. He was a graduate of Spaulding High School in Lamar, S.C., with the Class of 1956. Ricky served his country in the United States Air Force and later returned to New York, New York, where he worked for MTA and the post office until relocating to Atlanta, Georgia.

Funeral services will be held at noon Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2026, in the John Wesley Williams Sr. Memorial Chapel of Williams Funeral Home Inc., 821 N. Main St., Sumter, with the Rev. Dr. J. Elbert Williams, officiating.
