Police seeking woman who tried to cash stolen check

Police need help in identifying a woman who tried to cash a stolen check that was apparently stolen and altered.

The woman is a person of interest after she was captured on video attempting to cash the check at a local credit union before fleeing. No funds were dispersed.

Police urge residents to be vigilant if they notice someone opening residential mailboxes. Take note of the individual’s description and the make, model and color of suspicious cars in the area and call police.
