Clarendon County Sheriff’s Office seeks the public’s help in an ongoing investigation of a fatal shooting at a local lounge.

At about 11:34 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 24, deputies responded to Big Daddy’s Lounge along U.S. 301 in Gable after a report of a shooting.

Upon arrival, deputies discovered two men suffering from gunshot wounds.

Noah Wheeler, 21, of Kingstree, was taken to McLeod Health in Florence where he was pronounced deceased, according to the sheriff’s office.

Malik Wheeler, 29, also of Kingstree, was taken to McLeod Health in Manning, where he was treated and later released.

Moses McClinton, 36, of Sumter, called 911 to report he had also been shot and was driving himself to McLeod Health in Manning. He was treated and later released, the sheriff’s office said.

Initial information indicated an argument between two groups of men escalated into gunfire outside the business.

An investigation is ongoing as investigators work to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting and identify all those involved.

Anyone who witnessed the shooting or who has information that may assist investigators is asked to contact Clarendon County Sheriff’s Office at (803) 435-4414 or the tip line at (803) 433-8477.
