William Edward “Trigger” Roach, son of the late Irvin Sr. and Elizabeth Logan Roach, went from labor to reward on Monday, June 3, 2024, at Prisma Health Richland Hospital in Columbia. He attended the public schools of Sumter County and graduated from Hillcrest High School with the Class of 1973. After graduation, he served in the United States Army. After the military, he started working at IPG (Intertape Polymer Group — formerly known as Anchor Continental) where he continued for 36 years until his retirement. While working, he was pursuing higher education and graduated from Midlands Technical College.
He was a faithful and outstanding member of High Hills AME Church, where he served on the Trustee Board, Sons of Allen and sung on the Gospel Choir and Male Chorus.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 8, 2024, at High Hills AME Church, 6780 Meeting House Road, Dalzell, with the Rev. Phillip L. Washington, pastor.
Burial will follow in High Hills AME Church Yard Cemetery.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the home, 5480 Sid John Road, Sumter.
