THELMA HOWARD EVANS

Thelma Howard Evans, 86, widow of Harvey Evans and daughter of the late Sabie Howard and Mary Vaughn Howard, was born on Jan. 26, 1938, in Sumter. She departed this life on Saturday, July 20, 2024, in Sumter.

Public viewing will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2024, from 2 to 6 p.m. at Job’s Mortuary.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, July 26, 2024, at Trinity Missionary Baptist Church, 155 Wall St., Sumter, with Elder James Jackson, officiating, and Elder Kenneth Choice, eulogist.

Interment will follow at Allen Chapel AME Church Cemetery, Sumter.

Family will receive friends at 653 Loring Mill Road, Sumter.
