Sumter deputies offer reward in murder investigation of 81-year-old man

The Sumter County Sheriff’s Office seeks information in the investigation of an 81-year-old man found deceased in his home last month.

Stephen Collins, of Edgehill Road, was found dead in his residence on the morning of July 7. His death was ruled a homicide, according to Maj. Randall Stewart.

Sheriff Anthony Dennis is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the case.
