Sumter man, 26, wanted in February armed robbery, shooting

The Sumter Police Department seeks the public's help in locating a man wanted in connection to an armed robbery and shooting that occurred in February.

According to the Sumter Police Department, Ronnie Dashawn Abram, 26, of Decatur Street, was among a group of armed men who entered a Tudor Street home and shot a 23-year-old resident on Feb. 7. The resident was treated at a Columbia hospital and is recovering.

Jewelry and other items belonging to a witness was reportedly stolen as the individuals ran from the house, the department said.

Abram is wanted on charges of attempted murder, armed robbery and kidnapping related to the incident, the department said.
