Sumter man, 28, wanted for armed robbery, attempted murder, other charges

The Sumter Police Department seeks the public’s help in finding a wanted suspect who is accused of several charges, including armed robbery and attempted murder.
Sharell Deion Wells, 28, of Cambridge Drive, is wanted after he reportedly forced his way inside a Calhoun Street apartment after 12:30 p.m. on June 4 and assaulted a 32-year-old woman and man, the police department said.
A cash reward may be available for information leading to an arrest.
