Summerton vaccine recipients entered to win Yeti cooler or TV

SUMMERTON - A COVID-19 vaccine clinic will be set up in the parking lot of Summerton Town Hall on Sunday, Sept. 19, from 1 to 4 p.m., 10 Main St.

Attendees 12 and older can receive the Pfizer vaccine, which is fully approved by the FDA. Adults 18 and older can get the Moderna vaccine.

Recipients will be entered to win a Yeti cooler or TV.

According to state public health data, 44% of eligible Clarendon County residents have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, in comparison to 72% nationally.

South Carolina this week notched 50% of eligible residents who have been fully vaccinated, though the state is still among the lowest in the nation for completing vaccination.
