SCOTT MATTHEWS HARVEY

Scott Matthews Harvey, 56, departed this earth on Sunday, Aug. 4, 2024, at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital.
Born at Tuomey Hospital on Jan. 5, 1968, in Sumter, he was the son of Eleanor Virginia Garrett Harvey and the late John Walter Harvey.

Survivors include his mother; one daughter, Sarah Bell; one brother, James W. Harvey (Cathy) of Charlotte, North Carolina; one aunt, Linda G. Odom of Hartsville; one uncle, Roger M. Garrett (Luann) of Sparta, North Carolina; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Remembrance ceremony will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 11, 2024, at Grace Baptist Church with the Rev. Caleb Dubose officiating.

The family will have a private burial at a later date.

Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home & Crematorium of Sumter is in charge of the arrangements.
