Ryan Sidney Green, 74, died Thursday, Dec. 30, 2010, after an illness.

Born in Turbeville, he was a son of the late Robert Sidney Green and Ressie Coker Green. Mr. Green was a member of Pine Grove United Methodist Church where he was also a member of the Men's Adult Bible Class and The Methodist Men.

Surviving are his wife, Becky McFaddin Green of the home; two daughters, Eydie (Joey) Cannon of Turbeville and Amy (Robin) Coker of Scranton; two sons, "Si" Ryan Sidney (Lynne) Green Jr. of Turbeville and Chet Green of New Jersey; four sisters, Doris G. Powell, Miriam G. McFaddin, Margaret G. Lee and Eleanor G. Smith; seven grandchildren, Lindsey and "Ryan" Sidney Green III, Grant, Rebecca and Kemper Cannon, and Sidney and Peyton Coker.

Funeral services were held Sunday, Jan. 2, 2011, at Pine Grove United Methodist Church with burial in the church cemetery, directed by Floyd Funeral Home of Olanta.

FREDDIE HILTON Sr.

Freddie Hilton Sr., 67, husband of Ruby Dingle Hilton, died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2010, at his residence, 2699 Durant Lane, Manning.

Born Sept. 23, 1943, in the Jordan community of Manning, he was the son of the late Davis Hilton and Lucille Dingle Hilton. He attended Clarendon County public schools. At an early age, he accepted Christ as his Savior and joined Society Hill AME Church. He was employed with Witherspoon Logging Co.

Survivors include his wife, Ruby Dingle Hilton of Manning; a daughter, Daisy Williams of Columbia; six sons, Freddie (Ann) Hilton Jr. and Jody Hilton of Manning, Clyde (Kim) Hilton of Columbia, Eric (Morgan) Hilton of Myrtle Beach, Eddie (Leslie) Coard and Leroy Coard of Homestead, Fla.; four sisters, Daisy Cantey Scott, Louise Hilton, Elease Hilton and Marie Hicks; two brothers, William (Lillie Mae) Hilton and Edward (the Rev. Effie) Hilton; a host of grands, nieces and nephews.

Services were held Monday, Jan. 3, 2011, at Hayes F. & LaNelle J. Samuels Sr. Memorial Chapel, 114 N. Church St., Manning, with the Rev. Darryl Frazier, officiating, assisted by the Rev. Tracy Benehaley. Burial followed in Society Hill AME Church cemetery.

The family received friends at the home of his son and daughter-in-law, Freddie (Ann) Hilton Jr., 1105 Argent Road, Manning.
