ROOSEVELT CANTY

Roosevelt Canty, 83, widower of Maude Weeks Canty and son of the late James Edward Logan Sr. and Maple Bae Canty Baxter, was born on Jan. 16, 1941, in Pinewood. He departed this life on Thursday, June 6, 2024, at Prisma Health Richland Hospital in Columbia.
Mr. Canty will be placed in the church for viewing at 10 a.m. until the hour of services.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, June 23, 2024, at Salem Chapel & Heritage Center, 101 S. Salem Ave., Sumter, with the Rev. Moses Dingle Jr. presiding and the Rev. John H. Johnson, eulogist.
Entombment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park, Sumter.
