ROBERT J. ROBISON

TURBEVILLE - Robert J. "Buster" Robison, age 73, died Oct. 24, 2010, at his home after an illness.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2010 at Horse Branch Free Will Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery directed by Floyd Funeral Home.

Born in Clarendon County, he was a son of the late Henry J. and Pearl Smith Robison. He was a retired farmer; a member of Horse Branch Free Will Baptist Church, where he served on the trustee board for more than 20 years; and a volunteer firefighter, where he served as captain with Clarendon County Fire Department for more than 20 years.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Betty J. Smith, and brother-in-law, Harris Smith.

Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Alice Welch Robison of Turbeville; three daughters, Dianne (Carl) Floyd of Alcolu, Marie (Paul) Brewer of Manning and Becky (Terry) Jarrell of Estill; three sons, Robbie (Barbara) Robison of Turbeville, Ronnie (Becky) Robison of Sumter and Joey "Cotton" Robison of Turbeville; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
