Public invited to All About Sumter launch party at brewery downtown on Aug. 8

Hang out with The Sumter Item staff next week at Sumter Original Brewery for a special launch party as we premiere our second-annual All About Sumter magazine.

The magazine is a guide to businesses in Sumter, featuring profiles on new and classic places to explore across the county, signature dishes to devour, a spotlight on a local entrepreneur and a 900-plus business directory.

Staff from the paper, including reporters, visual journalists, designers, sales representatives and others, will be at the brewery, 2 S. Main St., Sumter, from 4 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 8, to hand out the free magazines and other products, answer questions from the public and chat with readers. Some of those featured in the magazine will also be in attendance.
