Pregnant Sumter mother of 2 found fatally shot in her home; police seek information

A pregnant mother of two was found fatally shot inside her home this morning according to Tonyia McGirt, public relations officer with the Sumter Police Department.
Police officers were called before 7:45 a.m. Monday after family members found Keyirra Tatyana Walker, 25, unresponsive inside her Carrol Drive home.
According to McGirt, officers consider the incident isolated and said the crime was most likely carried out during the early morning hours by someone the victim knows.
The Sumter County Coroner’s Office  has scheduled an autopsy for later this week.
Persons who may have seen someone or heard anything overnight in the Carrol Drive area is asked to call the Sumter Police Department immediately at (803) 436-2700. Descriptions of people or vehicles are useful to the investigation.
A cash reward of up to $5,000 is available for information leading to an arrest.
