MANNING — McLeod Health welcomes Deanne Wirth, MD, to its medical staff.
Dr. Wirth joins Dr. Kristen Herring, Dr. Harry Jordan, Dr. Andrew Reynolds, Dr. Hugh Stoddard and Advanced Practice providers Katherine Coffey, PA-C, Racheal Posey, APRN and Emily Miller, PA-C, at Palmetto Adult Medicine in Sumter.
Dr. Wirth, a family medicine physician, provides comprehensive care for patients ages 16 and older, treating acute illness and chronic health conditions. She has a special interest in women’s health, preventative care and helping patients make lifestyle changes that support their long-term health.
A native of Nacogdoches, Texas, Dr. Wirth earned her medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. She completed her Family Medicine Residency at Texas A&M University in Bryan-College Station, Texas. Growing up in a rural community with limited medical resources inspired Dr. Wirth to pursue a career in medicine.
“Having witnessed firsthand the need for physicians and the gaps in care that can occur when medical resources are limited, I was drawn to family medicine because of the meaningful impact primary care physicians can have on their patients and communities," said Dr. Wirth. "My goal is for every patient to leave my office feeling valued."
Dr. Wirth is accepting new patients in her office at 1295 Wilson Hall Road in Sumter. Same or next-day appointments are available.
