More than 200 Sumter volunteers spend time cleaning up community

More than 200 volunteers helped remove more than 5,475 pounds of trash from Sumter's streets during the city's community cleanup event on Saturday, Aug. 17. The last two cleanup events this year will be Oct. 19 and Dec. 14. The city will provide supplies for volunteers and pick up the bags after the events.
