MARY JANE T. FELDER

Mary Jane Thomas Felder, 83, died Saturday, Jan. 8, 2011, at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence.

She was born July 6, 1927, in Pinewood, a daughter of the late Aaron Ragin and Susie Thomas. She attended Clarendon County public schools. She was united in holy matrimony to the late Lawrence James Felder. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by four sons, Robert, James, Moses and Aaron; and a granddaughter, Shante.

Mary Jane was a beautiful and kind-hearted person and will be missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include two daughters, Gardenia (Perry) Young and Susan Felder, both of Brooklyn, N.Y.; five sons, David Felder of Brooklyn, N.Y., Preston Felder and John (Rachel) Felder, both of Bronx, N.Y., and Arthur Felder and Willie Lee Felder, both of Summerton; two daughters-in-law, Ellie Mae Felder of Summerton and Regina Felder of New York, N.Y.; a sister-in-law, Harriet Felder of Wilmington, N.C.; seven granddaughters, Angela, Melissa, Stephanie, Temika, Tiara, Alexis and Leona; five grandsons, Anthony, Raymond, Terry, Shakim and Wayne; 22 great-grandchildren; special friends, Albertha Ragin, Sarah Lowery, Sue Belser Gibson and Calvin Parker; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 15, 2011, at Greater St. Phillip RMUE Church with the Rev. Daniel Green, pastor, officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
