Manning teen killed in Friday wreck

MANNING – A Manning teen was killed in a one-vehicle wreck at 3 a.m. Friday near the intersection of the Bloomville and Raccoon roads, east of Manning.
Brandon White, 17, died at the scene, according to Clarendon County Coroner Jacqueline Blackwell. 
“An autopsy is set for Saturday at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston,” Blackwell added.
Lance Cpl. Nick Pye with the South Carolina Highway Patrol said the victim was driving a 2019 KIA SUV north on Bloomville Road when the vehicle ran off the right side of the road, overcorrected, went off the road to the left, struck several trees and overturned.
Pye said the collision was under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
Friday’s fatality marks the seventh death on Clarendon County roadways since March 3.
