Manning Health Clarendon welcomes new family nurse practitioner to staff

MANNING - McLeod Health Clarendon and McLeod Physician Associates have welcomed a new family nurse practitioner to the medical staff.

FNP Amber P. Newman joins Drs. Robert S. Eagerton and Carmen C. Roberts at Eagerton Family Practice, 200 E. Hospital St.

"As a native of Manning, I grew up receiving medical care at Clarendon," Newman said. "I started my career in health care at Clarendon, and it was a natural fit to return home to McLeod. I chose primary care because I enjoy the special connection I get to make with my patients and their families as their primary care provider. Practicing medicine is my passion, and I'm truly looking forward to helping my patients achieve healthier lives and serving my community."

Newman earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Kaplan University in 2015. Three years later, she earned her Master of Science degree in Nursing from the University of South Carolina.

Newman and her husband, Darrell, have two children, Anna Grace and Asher. In her spare time, Newman said she enjoys reading, camping and spending time on the lake with her family.
