Linwood Alvin Cothran, 83, husband of Jean Minor Cothran, died Sunday, Dec. 12, 2010, at his home.

Born Aug. 15, 1927, in Richmond, Va., he was a son of the late Richard and Arlean Roaches Crouch. He was a World War II Navy veteran and member of the Sea Bees, a retired photographer, and was of the Lutheran faith.

Surviving in addition to his wife of Manning are two sons, Richard Cothran and Dean Cothran, both of Richmond, Va.; two stepdaughters, Lynda Donahue and Judy Allen of Richmond; and two grandchildren.

A memorial services was held Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2010, at the funeral home with Pastor Wayne Young officiating. Burial will be held at a later date in Washington National Cemetery.

The family received friends prior to services at the funeral home.
