John M. Hudnall, 71, husband of Gloria J. Hudnall, died Saturday, June 1, 2024, at Prisma Health Tuomey in Sumter.
Born June 8, 1952, in Washington, DC, he was the son of the late James M. Hudnall and the late Vista Griffin Hudnall. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He retired from Midwest Staffing. Mr. Hudnall loved his family and spending time with them. He especially enjoyed watching his grandchildren. He enjoyed history, reading books, and playing video games. He loved attending Carolina Gamecock football games and Atlanta Braves baseball games, and bowling.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years; two children, Angela Hudnall-Ramsey (Eugene) and Tim M. Hudnall, all of Sumter; two grandchildren, Gage Ramsey and Franklin Ramsey; and a sister, Almira Papierniak of North Carolina; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, June 6, 2024, in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home chapel. Burial will be in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home of his daughter, 133 Garrett St.
