Funeral services for Joan Evans Dawson will be held on Sunday, Aug. 18, 2024, at 2 p.m. from the Catchall Masonic Lodge, 3280 Peach Orchard Road, Dalzell, with the Rev. James P. Durant officiating. Entombment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park.
A public viewing will be held on Saturday, Aug. 17, 2024, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the mortuary.
Joan, the wife of Melvin Dawson, departed this life on Monday, Aug. 12, 2024, in Sumter.
She was born Jan. 26, 1961, in Manhattan, New York, to the late Mary Evans.
