JEANETTE SCARBOROUGH

Jeanette Scarborough passed away on Monday, Sept. 23, 2024, in Columbia at the age of 77. She was born on Nov. 17, 1946, in Sumter to Ernest Sanders Sr. and Dorothy Griffin Porter.

Jeanette graduated from the South Carolina School for the Deaf and Blind in 1967. She was employed by Whitaker Cabinet Inc. in Mayesville. She was a member of Antioch United Methodist Church of Sumter, until she fell ill.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2024, in John Wesley Williams Sr. Memorial Chapel of Williams Funeral Home Inc., 821 N. Main St., Sumter, with the Rev. Marvis L. Stewart, pastor of Antioch United Methodist Church, officiating.

Burial will be in Sumter Cemetery, 700 W. Oakland Ave., Sumter.
