JAMES DINKINS

James Dinkins, 87, husband of Emmly Lee Goodwin Dinkins and son of the late George Washington and Tisbie Dinkins Washington, was born on Oct. 11, 1936, in Sumter.  He departed this life on Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2024, at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital, Sumter.
Public viewing will be held on Monday, Aug. 26, 2024, from 2-6 p.m. at Job’s Mortuary Inc.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2024, at Jehovah Missionary Baptist Church, 609 Manning Ave., Sumter, with Minister Larry Milligan presiding and Pastor Ricky Simmons, eulogist.
Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park, Sumter.
Job’s Mortuary Inc., 312 S. Main St., is in charge of arrangements.
