James Deas, 83, widower of Dorothy Clark Deas, son of the late Arthur Deas and Mamie Green Deas, and brother of the Rev. Irene Deas Anthony and the Rev. Marie Deas Webb, was born on Oct. 5, 1940, in Sumter County. He departed this life on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital in Sumter.
Family will receive friends at the home, 3910 Third St., Mayesville, starting Saturday, June 8, 2024, daily from 3-7 p.m.
Job’s Mortuary Inc., 312 S. Main St., Sumter, is in charge of arrangements.
