PINEWOOD - Howard Williams, 42, died Wednesday, March 2, 2011, in Sumter County.

Born Sept. 16, 1968, in Pinewood, he was a son of Robert Sr. and Ruth Billie Williams. He attended Clarendon County public schools and graduated from Scott's Branch High School in 1988. He was employed with Pilgrim Pride Sumter Poultry Plant.

Survivors besides his parents of Pinewood include two sons, Darius J. Williams and Brandon Boatwright, both of Sumter; one daughter, Keyanna Boatwright of Sumter; three brothers, Anthony Williams, Robert (Cheryl) Williams Jr. and Tracy Williams, all of Pinewood; two sisters, Melody B. Jones of Jacksonville, Fla., and Veronica Williams of Pinewood; a nephew reared as a brother, Deondra Billie of Tallahassee, Fla.; his grandfather, Esau Junious of Pinewood; a special friend, Cheryl Christian; a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Elo and Lela Caldwell Billie, Ethel Williams and Dinah Junious

Funeral services were held Sunday, March 6, 2011, at Mt. Pleasant RMUE Church, Pinewood, with the Rev. Powel Hampton, pastor, assisting, Evangelist Dollie Kinlaw, the Rev. Earnest Brunson, Elder Sampson Pearson and the Rev. Willie Green. Burial followed in Brown Cemetery.

The family received friends at the home, 2555 Fox Tindal Road, Pinewood.
