HENRY W. GEDDINGS JR.

Henry W. “Sonny” Geddings Jr., 74, widower of Donna Jean Kennedy Geddings, died Sunday, June 2, 2024, at his home.
Born Sept. 16, 1949, in Sumter, he was a son of the late Henry W. Geddings Sr. and the late Corinne Barkley Geddings. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and was formerly employed by Campbell Soup Co. and Color-Fi.
Survivors include a son, William Glenn Geddings of Sumter; a brother, Thomas Geddings (Peggy) of Sumter; and two sisters, Loretta Richards of Simpsonville and Annette Anderson of Sumter.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 6, 2024, at Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev. Chris Moore officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Turner, Mark Hughes, Derrick Geddings, Aaron Ward, Andrew Ward and Hans Swygert.
Members of the Senior Men’s Sunday School Class of Bethel Baptist Church will serve as honorary pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home.
