GENEVA T. GEDDINGS

SUMTER - Geneva Marie Tidwell Geddings, 66, widow of Billy Ray Geddings, died Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2011, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center.

Born in Sumter County, she was a daughter of the late Gilford and Geneva Brown Tidwell. Mrs. Geddings was a member of Cedar Creek Baptist Church.

Survivors include three children, Terri Shelley of Manning, and Billy Geddings and Sonya Avins, both of Sumter; five grandchildren, Kaitlin, Jessica, Alex, Cody and Madrid; one great-grandchild, Savannah; two sisters, Frances T. Rembert of Huntsville, Ala., and Becky Windham of Sumter; and four brothers, Wayne Tidwell of Bay Minette, Ala., Jimmy Tidwell, Sammy Tidwell and Joe Tidwell, all of Bishopville.

She was preceded in death by a son, Jesse Geddings; two brothers, Ronnie Tidwell and John Tidwell; and one sister, Rachael Beasley.
